Make your Dragon<\/h3>\n\n- Begin by c<\/span>ut<\/span>ting<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the<\/span>\u00a0cardboard tube in half<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Cut a piece of construction paper the length and circumference of the tube, then g<\/span>lue the construction paper around the tube using the glue stick<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Give your dragon some eyes by placing\u00a0a small drop of craft glue\u00a0<\/span>on\u00a0<\/span>each of the large pom poms\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>placing<\/span>\u00a0them\u00a0<\/span>side-by-side\u00a0<\/span>at one end of your tube.<\/span>\u00a0This will be the head of your dragon<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0Optional:\u00a0<\/span>Add some googly eyes to the large pom poms.<\/li>\n
- Create the dragon nose, by gluing two smaller pom poms, side-by-side, at the opposite<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>end<\/span>\u00a0(mouth)<\/span>\u00a0of the tube. Be sure to place them on the same side as the eyes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Create the fire<\/h3>\n\n- Begin by c<\/span>ut<\/span>ting<\/span>\u00a0strips of orange, red and yellow tissue paper<\/span>\u00a0(1\u201d wide x 10\u201d long).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Apply\u00a0<\/span>glue around the inside of the tube (the side where the two smaller pom poms are located).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Stick\u00a0one<\/span>\u00a0end of\u00a0<\/span>each<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>coloured\u00a0<\/span>strip\u00a0<\/span>to<\/span>\u00a0the inside of the tube<\/span>\u00a0and let\u00a0<\/span>dry<\/span>\u00a0for 5 minutes<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Be sure to cover <\/span>with lots of strips and avoid leaving any gaps.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Take a deep breath and blow through the end of the tube where the dragon\u2019<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>eyes<\/span>\u00a0are and watch\u00a0<\/span>as\u00a0<\/span>the fl<\/span>ames come to life.<\/span>\u00a0The air will catch\u00a0 the paper as it escapes and the strips will flutter.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Chinese New Year (aka Spring Festival)<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0<\/span>the most important celebration in the Chinese calendar.<\/span>\u00a02021 is the year of the Ox.<\/span><\/p>\nIn Chinese tradition, each year is named after one of 12 animals<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>in the Chinese<\/span>\u00a0astrological calendar.
