Education Child Care

All Learning Jungle facilities are open.

Facility tours for new enrolments are by appointment only. In-person tours require parents to be masked and to respect visitor protocols. Please complete our online form and a Learning Jungle Registration Representative will reach out within one business day. We appreciate your patience and look forward to connecting.

Covid-19 Protocols

  • If your child or any other member of your household exhibits symptoms of Covid-19 OR came into close contact with someone who tested positive, your child is required to quarantine for 5 days. Children may return to the classroom on day 6, so long as they are symptom-free. Children are also required to wear a mask up to day 10. If they are unable to mask, they will be required to stay home and return on day 11. Please seek professional medical attention if symptoms worsen.
  • To keep our environment safe, you will be required to call your local Learning Jungle facility and inform the Director of your situation as soon as possible.
  • If we are informed of a positive Covid-19 case in one of our classrooms, we will immediately communicate to all parents with children who share the same classroom.

Learning Jungle closely follows the advice of Public Health guidelines. Due to the ongoing unpredictability of the pandemic, protocols may change at any time.

Outbreak Policy

An outbreak is declared if a classroom encounters a high percentage of infections. In the event of an outbreak, Learning Jungle follows the guidance of Public Health and may be required to temporarily close the classroom. The average closure is between 5-10 days, however the duration is mandated by Public Health officials.

Fees Policy

Fees will continue to be collected during any isolation or closure.

During temporary closures, the facility continues to generate operating costs. Educators who are not ill during quarantine are required to use this time for training or administrative work.

Facility Extra Measures

  • All staff and children will be required to increase frequency of personal hygiene including washing hands immediately upon arrival at our facilities and frequently throughout the day.
  • Social distancing with young children can be challenging, however, educators will conduct programming two metres apart and child gatherings will be reduced to smaller numbers (eg. Meal times, classroom activities, outdoor play, etc.)
  • There will be no cross-over of children and staff between classrooms.
  • Staff will increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces, toys and high-touch areas throughout the day.
  • Any toys that cannot be cleaned and sanitized will be removed from our programming.
  • Staff will regularly monitor each child’s temperature during the day. If a child is exhibiting symptoms while in our facilities, staff will isolate child immediately in a separate area. Parents will be contacted and advised to seek professional medical advice immediately.
  • Staff are required to self-screen for symptoms prior to entering the facilities.
  • Face coverings will be the personal decision of staff, families and visitors. We ask that all families consider the vulnerability of young children and the on-going pandemic when making their decision. While we cannot force those who choose to de-mask, we also understand that some families may not be comfortable with the new guidelines. As such, we strongly recommend that individuals continue to wear face coverings while in our facilities.
  • Masking is required if there is an outbreak. Universal masking for those ages 2+ if an outbreak is declared in a classroom. Masking is also required if a person contracted or was exposed to COVID-19 and is following the shortened quarantine requirements.

Reminder to Families
